Solution:
This bug supposed to be fixed by the first Cumulative Update for bug fixes for SQL Server 2008. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957459/. However, many users are still experiencing this bug.
Quick Fix/Workaround
This problem occurs when you install SQL Server 2008 from a deployment share that uses a custom Defaultsetup.ini file, and this custom file includes the product key for SQL Server 2008. Additionally, this problem may occur when you install a second node for SQL Server 2008 from installation media that has a custom Defaultsetup.ini file that includes the product key.
As a result, we can remove defaultsetup.ini from install media Folder “X86”, “X64” and “IA64” then install again. you enter the product key manually to fix the problem.
Product key:
Open the defaultsetup.ini by notepad
